The project encompassed the automation of the sifting process – a part of the finished goods mill. Previously controlled by relay logic installed in the 1970s, a retrofit was carried out where the functionalities were fully retained with the same system setup and expanded with automatic operations. For the automation needs, we used the ET200SP series Siemens controllers that managed 300 input and output signals. Control and visualization of the process are carried out through the SCADA system on a local server.
GALENIKA AD, Zemun, Serbia
The project consisted of retrofitting a machine for mixing pharmaceutical emulsions up to 2 tons. An upgrade was carried out from the S5 series Siemens controllers to S7-1200, and a TP700 was added as an enhanced HMI (Human-Machine Interface). The functionality of the machine itself was preserved while the processes were automated. The software was expanded with modules for recipes, preventive maintenance, user management, history, and reporting.
